Camden Catholic Coach Jim Crawford Gets 700th in Irish Victory

The Irish put the pedal to the floor in the fourth quarter to put away Lenape.

Camden Catholic’s boys’ basketball team jumped out to a 22-11 lead at halftime, then poured on the offense in the second half to get head coach Jim Crawford his 700th career win Tuesday night against Lenape.

Temple-bound senior Kyle Green led the Irish with 20 points, and teammates Brendan Crawford and Thomas Organ chipped in 18 and 12, respectively.

Camden Catholic had to turn it up in a big way in the fourth quarter, as both teams exploded on offense. The Irish poured in 28 points—more than Lenape had scored in the first three quarters combined—in the final frame to seal the victory.

Lenape’s Kendall Green had 19 points to lead his squad in scoring.

Camden Catholic, which has lost tight games to Shawnee (49-48) and Bishop Eustace (46-44) in the last two weeks, improves to 7-4 with the win.
