Philadelphia Man Saved After Drowning at Kingston Estates

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.

A Philadelphia man attending a party at Kingston Estates Swim Club had to be rescued from a pool after drowning late Saturday night, and remains in intensive care, Cherry Hill Police said.

Lifeguards pulled Maurice Relaford, 31, of the unit block of North Carlisle Street, from the pool around 10:15 Saturday night, police said, and police, firefighters and paramedics arrived to find Relaford still unconscious and unresponsive, despite CPR efforts.

Relaford was taken to Kennedy University Hospital immediately, police said, where emergency room doctors were able to revive him after roughly an hour of lifesaving efforts.
