Marlton Man Forges Way into Relative’s Account, Police Say

Marc DiBartolomeo faces multiple charges related to several incidents, police say.

A Marlton man forged his way into a relative’s bank account for at least the third time earlier this month, but was caught just hours after stealing an unspecified amount of money, Evesham Police said.

Marc DiBartolomeo, 39, used a forged withdrawal slip at the TD Bank on Greentree Road on July 4 to get the cash, police said, and fled the bank when a bank employee questioned him about the transaction.

Surveillance video and evidence left at the scene pointed to DiBartolomeo, police said, and he was arrested at his home on Knox Boulevard less than three hours after stealing the money.

DiBartolomeo was charged with third-degree forgery and a disorderly persons count of theft for the July 4 incident, as well as two counts of third-degree forgery and two disorderly persons counts of theft for what police said were two similar incidents prior to July 4.

DiBartolomeo’s bail was set at $5,000; he posted 10 percent of that and was released, police said.
