Cherry Hill Pimp Kidnapped, Assaulted Girlfriend, Police Say

Christopher Alphonso was living at the same home busted for prostitution earlier this year, police said.

A Cherry Hill man who was allegedly pimping his girlfriend was arrested early Monday morning after kidnapping her from Pennsauken, then beating and choking her, Cherry Hill Police said.

Christopher Alphonso, 28, forced the victim into a cab in Pennsauken, police said, then attacked her on the way to their shared home on Oak Avenue—the same home where police broke up an alleged brothel earlier this year.

Officers found the cab outside the Wawa at Church and Cooper Landing roads after responding to a disturbance call there and arrested Alphonso. Pennsuaken Police then notified Cherry Hill officers that Alphonso had kidnapped the victim from the neighboring township.
