Assemblyman Paul Moriarty (Patch File Photo)
Paul J. DiBartolo July 20, 2014 at 12:43 pm
You think Moriarty's bill to mandate cameras on all police cars will work as good as a bill he votedRead More for in 2011 "that would have reaffirmed the penalties for refusing to take a breath test?" Oh wait, when pulled over for suspicion of DWI, "he didn't realize the consequences of not taking the Breathalyzer." Yo Paul, did you read it before you voted for it or are you part of the Nancy Pelosi school of idiot politicians telling us we have to pass something to know what's in it? Sorry to say, Mr Moriarty, but your excuse sounds about as idiotic as hers. Maybe you should go back to reporting the news instead of trying to make news because all you're making is bad news.
Schu July 20, 2014 at 01:47 pm
I agree with Paul, Moriarty is a liberal hypocrite. Laws for thee, but not for me.
Bob Harris July 21, 2014 at 10:24 am

It kind of reminds me of the Sprint commercial where 'The Man' announces his new Sprint phone planRead More has no limits so it's his way of 'sticking it to the man.' His sidekick reminds him he is THE man so he is essentially sticking it to himself. Apparently, that's the only part of this 'The Man' has not quite worked out. So, how to get all these greedy and selfish politicians politicos to pass laws that actually restrain them and attempt to force them to be honest? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG-VB5xb6KM

statistically, according to the FBI, every town or city that has allowed concealed carry saw a dropRead More in violent crime. While I don't think everyone should be armed, everyone should have the right to be armed. As for mass shootings, how about we treat them like teen suicides and stop reporting them so the copycat affect doesn't get used? We have seen in 9 of the last 2 things that were common; mood altering drugs and reliving in their demented minds past mass shootings as reported in the media. Some want to be remembered and famous.

Mom you are on the right track, But The Media Feeds off of all these actions, Like never before, IRead More canceled the Asbury Park Press for just that reason of Slanted Editorials and Nothing but Crime reporting and Trash, It went from Many pages to a few filled with Nothing but Crime reporting and Party Bashing. I'm planning to go to Bookends tomorrow to meet our 45th President, Hillary Clinton. Obviously,Read More conservatives are worried about her -- that's why they've cranked up the mud-slinging machine 2+ years before her election.

The real main intention of this law was to protect somebody who is rendering assistance, regardless.Read More If you were to come to an accident and you moved the person out of the car because it was going to burn, but in the intention you caused paralysis due to an injury your had no idea about, you would be granted immunity. You were acting in the best interest of the victim, trying to save their life. If this act was not in effect, nobody would render assistance if they thought about the consequences. Good people with basic human nature would still help. It takes the ambulance chasers to ruin something else like this.

Lawyers are nit pickers who strive to find loopholes in everything. Shakespeare was right when heRead More said " First we kill the lawyers"

My friend, got her CELLPHONE stolen right out of her hand on the 92 bus and everyone else just satRead More there, she said that someone had lent her their phone, so she could call her mom. She also stated that the cops wouldn't come out just for a stolen cellphone, how do those people know? As for the mom who got a beat down in front of her child, and I was there, I would have been the first to call 911. True story, I went to University Plaza in Newark to pay my cable bill at the Optimum Payment Center, and I grabbed something to eat, anyway, as I was eating in my car, I saw a store owner get hit by some guy, and I put down my food, and picked up my cellphone as I was about to dial 911, I heard the owner say not to, but I had to, even though he was a complete stranger to me, I knew enough to know that if I did nothing, it would've be just as bad as the criminal doing the hitting. I am the type of person who will stand up for anyone if I see what's going on.

A falling tree ripped off one part of one wall's siding on the back of your house and the newRead More doesn't exactly match the rest of the house? Chubb doesnt want you looking at it and being disappinted, so they pay to replace it all - no quibbling. The only thing they require is honest customers so they already know who and what you are before they agree to quote your risk. Scammers need not apply....

It's funny. (Actually it's not ) I haven't heard either side of liars and thiefs , talk bout theRead More unfairness of taking away the property tax rebates of most homeowners and seniors. Especially only a month BEFORE they were counting on them. How is anyone supposed to budget their household, with these clowns in charge of state. Christie with your made up budget and your lies , you are a bum. Public unions , with your collusion and greed, you are scum.

sorry angie argabrite but our overstuffed pampered national smorgasbord traveler that drops byRead More occasionally to show us that as Governor he can walk and chew gum at the same time doesn't make any "hard choices" without a million dollar advance to his wife's charity retirement fund first

Doesn't much matter people are leaving NJ as fast as they can . The liberal way simply is a downwardRead More spiral and it shows
Joe R June 19, 2014 at 11:24 am
People are leaving NJ as fast as they can???? And people are moving into NJ, entrepreneurs,Read More enterprising immigrants (LEGAL) and NJ has a fairly healthy birth rate. But the right wingers and the corporate whores who want us to further lower taxes on big corporations and the wealthy perpetuate the myth that NJ is losing population which is a big fat LIE. In the 1950s, the top marginal tax rate was 91%, now it's 39.6%.
Ridgewood Mom June 19, 2014 at 05:29 pm
Exactly Joe. All that Chris Christie has done as governor is raid the public coffers in order toRead More line the pockets of himself and his cronies. He has achieved this by employing well documented goon squad tactics and perpetuating the lie that the cost of services for the average taxpayer is the source of the state's fiscal challenges, demanding that most people in the state pay more taxes for less services in order to funnel more money to favored corporations and very wealthy individuals.

Sorry to hear about that Frank. Just to be clear, I'm not debating the merits of any of thoseRead More hospitals, just glad some one is at least trying to do something for the vets.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Frank, but I've had great care from the hospital and my doctorRead More associated with it. Maybe I'm lucky but after doing a little research, I found that the best doctors for me in South Jersey are associated with Cooper. Sorry that wasn't your experience. I'm no fan of Norcross or the Democrat machine. I'm just glad that vets won't have to wait months for subpar treatment from the VA.
@xxLouA June 26, 2014 at 03:32 pm
so sorry for your Dad, but I've been there several times and they saved me at least twice. No fanRead More either of Norcrosss. I've had three relatives who worked their lives out at Cooper and gave it everything they could. Again sorry for you Dad.
