Cherry Hill is goverened by a seven-member council and a separately elected mayor. The current council consists of President David Fleisher, Vice President Sara Lipsett, N. John Amato, Susan Shin Angulo, Jim Bannar, Melinda Kane and Jacqueline Silver. The current mayor is Chuck Cahn.
The township offices house most public services, including the tax assessor's office, construction, planning and zoning and the mayor's office. The police department and municipal court is also housed at the municipal complex.
Township council meetings are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Mondays at 7:30 p.m. in the N. John Amato Council Chambers (Room 208) on the second floor.
