Brace Road Work Starts Monday, Will Shut Down Highway

Don't plan on taking the road during nighttime hours.

Get set for detours next week—repairs on Brace Road will shut down nearly the entire stretch of the road between Berlin Road and Bowood Drive starting Monday, township officials said.

Brace will shut down between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily for the work, which is expected to take until around July 30 to complete, officials said.

Drivers should plan on taking alternate routes through the duration of the work.

State officials announced the plan to rebuild 1.5 miles of Brace Road earlier this year, as part of a $9.3 million, three-county project.

Nearly the entire stretch of the road, from Haddonfield-Berlin Road up to the Kings Highway intersection, will be milled and repaved, and new ADA-compliant curb ramps will be installed along the length of the road, state officials said.
