East Sweeps West in Annual Clash in the Pool [Photos]
The Cougars' boys and girls each stayed undefeated with wins over the Lions Monday.
The Cherry Hill East boys and girls swim teams swept rival Cherry Hill West in the pool Monday, remaining undefeated in their respective efforts to defend their South Jersey titles.
The Cougars boys dominated, winning every event in the meet and piling up eight second-place finishes to cap a 132-38 victory. Though the meet was lopsided on its face, West's boys still put together 25 season-best times.
The Cougars girls, meanwhile, prevailed in a much closer affair, beating the Lions, 98-72, overcoming an early lead by West, which won the first three events, primarily on the strength of their freestyle relay teams and a 1-2 finish from Natalie Simunek and Lydia Hubee in the 50 freestyle.
