Cherry Hill Stealers into Legion Winners-Bracket Final

The locals will face Gibbsboro in a matchup of tournament hosts.

Patience is paying off for the Cherry Hill Stealers.

Facing another deficit in the second round of the Junior American Legion tournament Sunday, the locals kept fighting and came back to tie it up against Brooklawn and send it to extras at Cherry Hill East, then got an unlikely walk-off when Vinny Guckin drew a walk to bring in the game-winner in the bottom of the eighth in the 4-3 victory.

Jeff Dixon got the victory on the mound for the Stealers, pitching all eight.
