Cherry Hill West Honors Student Tutors Fellow Students for Free

Christian Butts took an honors club requirement the extra step, NBC Philadelphia reports.

An honors student  graduating from Cherry Hill High School East is sharing his knowledge with his fellow students.

Christian Butts, 18, tutors students as an honors club requirement, but went the extra step to make himself available to the students he was helping around the clock without compensation, NBC Philadelphia reports.

Classmates he tutored took to social media praise Butts, who is headed to the University of Pennsylvania in the fall, according to the report.

Butts is a member of the Cumlaude Society, a club designated for the school’s top students, according to csnphilly.com.

He’s a member of the all-South Jersey Chorus for students in grades 10-12, a member of the school’s World Affairs Council and an athlete on the school’s track team.
