Cherry Hill East Student Athlete to be Recognized for Anti-Bullying Efforts at Phillies Game

David Golkow, a student-athlete at Cherry Hill High School East, will be recognized for his efforts to battle bullying before the Phillies game Wednesday night.

David Golkow, a student-athlete at Cherry Hill High School East, will be recognized for his efforts to battle bullying before the Phillies game Wednesday night.

He will be recognized on the field at Citizen's Bank Park as the winner of the Phillies’ “Extraordinary Scholar” contest.

Golkow wrote an essay about his club "Athletes Against Bullying," which earned him the top prize.

Athletes Against Bullying’s mission is to educate Cherry Hill High School East’s student athletes in order to prevent bullying on the school’s sports teams. The club also promotes the anti-bullying message throughout the school and community.

He will be a junior this fall.
