Third Suspect Charged in Murder of Man Whose Remains Were Found on I-676

A third suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a Camden man whose remains were found in a bin on the side of Interstate 676 in 2013, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced on Tuesday.

LaQuan Shaw, 21, of Camden, is the third man charged with murder in connection with the death of 23-year-old Adrian Rivera.

Lashaun Brown-Bunch, 21, of Camden, and a 16-year-old Willingboro boy were each previously charged with murder in the case.

Rivera allegedly took $2,000 in narcotics he had been charged with selling in August of 2013 and Brown-Bunch allegedly decided to exact revenge, according to  a probable cause statement.

Rivera allegedly died that month at an abandoned home on the 1700 block of Norris Street where he had been living.

Evidence gathered at the home included blood in a second story bedroom. All three defendants are accused of participating in the assault and choking of Rivera.

A witness told investigators he saw Brown-Bunch hacking at Rivera with a sharp object while the victim was attacked by a pit bull.

Rivera’s remains were put into a red recycling receptacle and weren’t found until November of 2013 at mile marker 1.6 on I-676. It is alleged another man, Shawn Mosley, 34, of Camden, disposed of the remains. Mosley was charged May 19 with hindering apprehension and desecration of human remains.
