Off-Duty Camden County Cop Identified as Driver Who Wrecked Benash Liquor Store Sign

William Grasso allegedly crashed into the sign on Friday morning, the Courier Post reports.

An off-duty Camden County Police Officer was identified as the alleged drunk driver who crashed into a 67-year-old liquor store sign on Friday, the Courier Post reports.

William Grasso, 21, allegedly crashed into the Benash Liquor Store sign on Route 38 and Church Road early Friday morning, according to the report. He was removed from duty while an investigation is being conducted.

The sign was installed in its current street level position in the 1970s after initially residing on the roof of the building.
