Family Dispute Leads to Stolen Gun Arrest, Police Say

Officers made an arrest on the Cherry Hill-Voorhees border early Friday morning.

A Deptford man who was involved in a domestic dispute with family members early Friday morning was later found with two handguns—including one that was stolen—in Voorhees, police said.

Officers were called to the 900 block of Centennial Boulevard just before 1 a.m. after Lamaar Jones, 21, got in a heated argument with at least one member of his family, police said, but Jones had taken off on foot by the time police arrived.

Jones was found a short time later in front of Virtua's Rohrer Center on Evesham Road, police said, where officers searched him and found the guns, one of which had been stolen from Harrison Township in Gloucester County in 2011.
