Cherry Hill Man Ran Brothel from Home, Police Say

Michael Clarke, 47, coordinated a network of prostitutes online and used his home to provide sexual encounters, police say.

A Cherry Hill man who was allegedly running a brothel out of his home on Oak Avenue was arrested last month and charged with promoting prostitution, Cherry Hill Police announced Wednesday.

Michael Clarke, 47, of the 300 block of Oak Avenue, was arrested Feb. 1 after a three-month investigation into reports by neighbors of suspicious activity in and around Clarke’s home, police said.

Clarke was using several websites to advertise the services of several women, police said, and would coordinate and arrange sexual encounters both at his home and at various motels in the area.
