Cherry Hill Attorney Acquitted in High Profile Racketeering Case Rebuilding Business

Donald Manno was acquitted of all charges in the Nicky Scarfo Jr. racketeering case, but is struggling to rebuild his business, the Burlington County Times reports.

A Cherry Hill man who was charged in connection with a high-profile racketeering case was acquitted of all charges, but his law business is still suffering as a result of the publicity, the Burlington County Times reports.

Donald Manno was charged with covering up Nicky Scarfo Jr.'s involvement in FirstPlus Financial. On July 3, Scarfo and Salvatore Pelullo were convicted of racketeering conspiracy, securities fraud, wire, fraud, bank fraud, extortion, money laundering and obstruction of justice.

Brothers William and John Maxwell of Texas were also convicted.

Multiple others charged following the November, 2011 arrest pleaded guilty, including Scarfo's wife.

Manno chose to defend himself, and he and David Adler were acquitted.

Manno, a Cherry Hill defense attorney, is struggling to rebuild his business. However, he recently took on two new clients and went on vacation for the first time since his arrest, according to the report.
