Car Crashes into Liberty Travel on Route 38

The car plowed into the travel agency just after 9 p.m. Saturday.

Two people were injured and a travel agency suffered serious structural damage when a car slammed into a building on Route 38 Saturday night, according to initial police radio reports.

The car went off westbound Route 38 and crashed right through the front windows of Liberty Travel, at the point formed by Route 38 and Harvard Avenue near the Haddonfield Road overpass, around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

Cherry Hill firefighters and EMTs were called to the scene to treat two people injured in the crash, according to radio reports. The extent of those injuries wasn't immediately available.

The car, a gray sedan, came to rest at the back of the building, where it punched out a portion of the rear block wall. Photos of the scene from firefighters showed a portion of the glass facing of the building was destroyed.

A cause of the crash wasn't immediately reported.
