Man Charged With Stealing $1,500 Worth of Tools From Camden County College

John Rohlfing Jr., 30, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

A Blackwood man was charged with stealing $1,500 worth of tools from a maintenance truck at Camden County College, Blackwood Campus on Sunday, Gloucester Township Police announced Sunday night.

John Rohlfing Jr., 30, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

The police department received a phone call just before 5:30 Sunday morning from a public safety officer at the college who reported a suspicious subject was observed operating a motorcycle throughout the campus.

The public safety officer provided a registration number. Police were then able to ascertain that a tool bag containing $1,500 worth of tools was stolen from a maintenance truck belonging to the college.

Rohlfing was located at his apartment at the Autumn Ridge Apartment complex. He was interviewed and connected to the burglary. All stolen items were returned to the college.

He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $30,000 bail.
