A 73-year-old man died from his injuries after being hit by an SUV during rush hour Monday at the Church Road circle, Cherry Hill Police said.
The man, who was not identified by police, was walking in the area of Cooper Landing and Church roads around 5:15 p.m. when he was hit, and police are asking for help from anyone who might've seen what happened.
The driver of the SUV, a black Cadillac Escalade, stopped at the scene, police said, and has not been charged at this point.
It was the second fatal accident involving a pedestrian in just three days—Maple Shade resident Aung Naing Htwe was hit near the entrance to Kings Croft around 2 a.m. Saturday, later dying of his injuries at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
Anyone with information on the Church Road circle crash should call Officer Ronald Dolan of Cherry Hill's Traffic Safety Unit at 856-432-8860.
