Cherry Hill Resident Elizabeth Anne Schopfer Receives Masters from Penn

Congratulations to Elizabeth Anne Schopfer,  daughter of Lou and Jan Schopfer of Cherry Hill, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education with a Counseling and Mental Health Services (CMHS) Masters of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) on May 19, 2014 at Franklin Field. 

Liz will be continuing her education at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in June of 2014 under a merit scholarship to obtain a joint degree in Professional Counseling (PC) Licensure / School Certification with a Masters of Philosophy in Education (M.Phil.Ed.).  Liz will be traveling to the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland, United Kingdom in August 2014.

She served this past year as a practicum counselor at her alma mater Cherry Hill High School West under the direction on her former guidance counselor Mr. Cigus Vanni. She will begin an internship in September 2014 at Brookfield Academy in Haddon Heights.  Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude with Distinction in Psychology and Certification in Spanish, in addition to advanced classes in American Sign Language (ASL), from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences.
