Down Jersey Jewish Farmers Lecture at Camden County College

Ruth Bogutz, founder of the Tri-County Jewish Historical Society, will discuss how wanting to escape the Pogroms at the end of the 19th Century, many Jews fled Eastern Europe and settled in South Jersey. Numerous Jewish farming settlements were created in Cumberland, Cape May and Salem counties.
