Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort Meeting Set for Thursday

The township will offer help to groups seeking to aid in the relief effort.

An overwhelming number of questions about collection drives for the victims of Hurricane Sandy have led Cherry Hill officials to organize a local drive based at the municipal building.

Details on that township drive, as well as tips for groups starting their own charitable collections, will be available at a special meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Carman Tilelli Community Center at the municipal complex on Mercer Street.

Kevin Seta, a Cherry Hill police officer and the coordinator of Cherry Hill’s Office of Emergency Management, will have information on the township’s effort and resources for outside groups hoping to aid in the relief effort.
