Haddonfield Road Wawa Opens Friday With Self-Service Lottery

Grand opening festivities kick off at 10 a.m.

Wawa will debut a self-service lottery terminal as part of its grand opening for its newest store on Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill Friday morning.

It’s just the second self-service terminal at a Wawa in New Jersey, though the chain runs self-service terminals in more than 300 stores in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Customers will be able to buy tickets for all lottery games, including Powerball and Mega Millions, at the self-service station, which will expand to four other stores throughout the state by the end of 2013.

Grand opening activities—including the official ribbon-cutting and a charitable Hoagies for Heroes contest to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation—start at 10 a.m. at the new store, located just north of Church Road at 50 Haddonfield Road.

“We couldn’t be more passionate about honoring the individuals and organizations seeking to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month,” said Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s President and CEO. “We have been a partner of the Susan G. Komen Foundation since 1993, and during this special month, we are extending our support of their legacy of assisting hundreds of thousands of people in our area and fueling their dedication to finding a cure to this grand opening.”
