Mother on 'How I Met Your Mother' is Cherry Hill East Alum

Cristin Milioti was revealed as the woman in the titular role.

The woman under the yellow umbrella isn't just the titular mother on CBS's How I Met Your Mother—she's also a Cherry Hill native.

Cristin Milioti, who was previously best known for a Tony-nominated performance on Broadway in Once, is a 2003 Cherry Hill East graduate—and is playing the character referenced for eight years on the show, which finally revealed her identity in the season finale Monday night.

After high school, Milioti briefly attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, then headed to various roles on and off-Broadway.

Though revealed as the mother Monday night, Milioti's only credited as "The Girl With The Yellow Umbrella" in the sitcom, which has been renewed for a ninth season.
