Sara Pagliaro, D.O. Earns Hospice-Palliative Board Certification

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Team Adds to Depth of Expertise

Sara Pagliaro, D.O, a full-time physician with Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice in Marlton, has successfully earned board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).

The AOBFP is one of 18 certifying Boards of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and is regulated by its Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists to administer examinations resulting in certification awarded by the American Osteopathic Association. Board certification is voluntary.

“We are extremely proud of Dr. Pagliaro and all that she has accomplished,” stated Dr. Stephen Goldfine, Samaritan’s Chief Medical Officer. “Samaritan remains the largest hospice serving five counties in southern New Jersey. With Dr. Pagliaro’s board certification, we are the only South Jersey hospice with four full-time board-certified physicians as well as two palliative trained nurse practitioners and New Jersey’s first Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow. You will not find that level of quality care and expertise anywhere else in this area.”

Dr. Pagliaro received her degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from the University of Medicine & Dentistry -School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006 (now the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the school’s Department of Family Medicine, an attending physician at Kennedy Memorial Hospital – Stratford and both an Attending Physician and Medical Director of the Department of Family Medicine at University Doctors in Sewell. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. She resides in Moorestown, NJ.
