The 12-year-old was last seen riding her bike in her Clayton, NJ-neighborhood.

Update, 11:50 a.m., Oct. 23: Authorities also recovered Autumn Pasquale's bike, near where her body was found on the 200 block of East Clayton Avenue. UPDATE: Autumn Pasquale's Bike Found Near Body

---------------------

Update, 5:49 a.m., Oct. 23: The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says a body believed to be that of Autumn Pasquale has been found in a recycling container.

A spokesman did not disclose where the discovery was made, The (NY) Daily News reports this morning. The body was discovered late Monday night.

"This is a very sad day for the Pasquale family," Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to the family and to all the residents of Clayton who stood together in support of this young girl."

---------------------

Update, 2:44 p.m., Oct. 22: Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information on missing Clayton 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale.

Officials announced the reward at a press conference held by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Monday afternoon. The reward comes as more than 48 hours have passed since Autumn was last seen.

Half of the reward money comes from Autumn's family, with the county prosecutor matching the remaining half, 6ABC reports. With more than 200 law enforcement officers searching for the preteen, authorities have conducted 75 interviews trying to glean information on the case.

Autumn was last seen riding her bike. She sent a text message around 2:30 p.m., 6ABC reports.

While her parents did not speak at the press conference, her father earlier told NBC10, "Everyone's working together to try and find her. We love her and we want her to come home."

If you have information on Autumn Pasquale's whereabouts, call the Clayton Police Department at 856-881-2300 or dial 911.

---------------------

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office released the following statement on missing Clayton girl Autumn Pasquale:

A growing number of law enforcement personnel from Gloucester County and other agencies are joining the effort today to find 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale, reported missing from her Clayton, NJ, home Saturday night.

Ground search efforts this morning were focusing on several locations in Clayton. A New Jersey State Police aerial unit is assisting in this effort.

The Clayton Middle School student was last seen leaving her West High St. home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on a white BMX bike. She was reported missing 9:30 p.m. Saturday after missing a family-imposed curfew.

The Clayton Police Department began the search Saturday night and it was expanded Sunday with activation of Gloucester County’s Child Abduction Response Team that calls in personnel and equipment from throughout the county. CART is coordinated by detectives with the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The State Police missing persons unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Camden-based U.S. Marshals Service Task Force and the GCPO’s fugitive and high-tech crime units are all assisting.

More than 100 law enforcement personnel from 18 agencies are now involved in the search.

County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton will further update the situation at a 2 p.m. news conference in the Gloucester County Government Services Building, 1200 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton.

Channel 6 is reporting that this young girls body has been found in a recycling container. I pray to God that they find the one responsible for this cowardly act and string them by their nuts a be publicy beaten to death!!!!! Any POS that does something like this to a child has NO place on this earth!! The reality though is that our courts systems and law makers will protect this predator with the thought that they can be cured. Well this persons only cure is death! Am I pissed off? Your DAMN right I am!!
I continue to pray and my heart aches for this young childs family and friends and may she rest in peace.

With that attitude you'd better hope you never need a defense attorney or a trial if you're accused of a crime.

Most people don't get a trial anyway. They bargain. So they might be out someday again on the streets. But then the people can takr care of the propblem.

When they find this piece of garbage, they should put him in a room with three or four men, armed with baseball bats and lock the door for about 15 minutes. If he survives, he should be put in the general prison population.....he won't last long. Does this sound extreme and politically incorrect? Too bad....these predators don't deserve to live. Stop wasting our tax dollars defending and housing these creeps. And....our prayers are with Autumn's family and friends.

Oh no, good folks, putting such people to death is cruel and unusual punishment and isn't done by civilized nations (see Europe as an example). BS!!! Humankind has always found it necessary to use death as the ultimate punishment for heinous crimes AND as a way to protect ourselves from the horrors repeated.

They found her in a recycling bin just a few blocks from her home. She was missing for 2 days. Bins were just put out for recycling last night for pick up today (Tuesday). So, let the wild speculation begin.

I just hope and pray that they figure this out quickly. Knowing that there is a child killer roaming the streets so close to us right here in Glo Twp. should have every parent on edge.

I pray for peace and closure for her friends and family. What an unimaginable ordeal.

Instead of rallying around with pitchforks and hateful comments, could everyone just drop the vitriol for a second and at least offer an ounce of compassion for a family that has lost a child in a tragic way. Hate begets hate as does violence.

Believe people have been sending their prayers to the family constantly since day one, but it doesn't change the fact that this animal deserves to be "hated" and then like any mad dog put down to protect God forbid the next child. Placing this maggot into a prison or mental hospital with the possibility to get out is not justice for this little girl! Hate and justice is not the same thing in this case many people I think would agree.

Really Paul? What about THEIR hate and violence? They get a pass? Just so we don't become monsters? What they did was monsterous. Getting rid of people who do this is civilized. The 2 actions are NOT the same.

Deepest sympathies to Autumn's family and friends. A horrible wake up call for all of us each time this happens; if anything can come of this it's that we all watch our children more closely, contact them more often even the adult ones. Shouldn't have to be that way but it is.

That's Clayton for ya? This can and does happen EVERYWHERE! To insinuate that it's the "bad area" is not only ignorant but an insult to all the good Clayton people that have spent the last three days trying to locate this child. I only pray that it never happens to you, Gina. Good luck in whatever happy little valley you live in.

I guess my comments about generalization and hatred were seen by some as a rallying cry to further prove the point. I hope you get your wish now that they have their "suspects" and can all 'string em up and let em die like dogs'. Maybe it'll be on live TV? Is that would your God would want? Enough digression... RIP Autumn.

If it were televised it wouldn't be for popcorn eating entertainment. It would be to confirm that they are being disposed of, to the relief of the civilized public, who wants their kids to be able to play outside and be safe in a reasonable manner.

Paul

Unfortunately, the repeated irony throughout all of these comments does nothing to bring society forward. Disposing tumors does not eliminate the threat of cancer, nuking a whole region does not rid the world of its problems and playing judge, jury, and executioner at the drop of a hat does not equal justice. Civilized public? Not in this comment section.

Yeah Paul. We're civilized, compared to the murderers. None of us here, dispite harsh words and angry feelings want to kill a 12 year old girl on a buke. We want to kill people who do that or should I say did that. Not the same. We weighed it in our minds and hearts. We considered the brutality of killing a 12 year old girl for her bike when they could have easily smacked her around till she cried and ran away without her bike, hid the bike, and claimed not to know anything when she reports to someone. They would have eventually gotten caught if they tried to use her bike in public. But they could have chosen not to kill her. We didn't decide that for them, they did that on their own. Who's more civilized again??? Huh?? What's that?? So after careful consideration of the event, yes, they should be taken off the earth. It is the civilized thing to do, for the sake of all 12 year old girls who should be safe to play near their homes. You don't let a wild bear run around and kill your children because it might be seen as discrimination or because the animal has rights. Their rights end when they infringe on anothers rights. And they infringed. Big time. Civilized indeed, by any definition I've ever heard.

Is this the new generation that will be taking over the reins in this Nation in the coming decade? When you remove discipline, morals from the classroom, the home and replace them with the modern secular beliefs this is the final result. A generation that has no moral center, believes the World owes them a living, instead of working for what they want they will just rob and murder to get it.

They were even laughing at her memorial. Any questions as to what should be done? They thought it was funny. No remorse after the fact. I suspect that the bike was just an excuse. They wanted to kill that girl for other reasons. That was their purpose, not theft. They wanted her dead. Why? Ask them. Cause she's white ?? cute?? had a cool bike??? All 3 ?? They declared "no quarter" on her. No quarter should be granted to them. I wonder if she begged for her life, or cried, or tried to run. I wonder how frightened she was to be alone with them? I wonder if she knew "it" was coming and she was done for? The only reason vigilante justice is not allowed is to control the people. They don't care about the killers, the girl, or you. Vigilante justice is not illegal because the system wants everyone to have a fair trial. That's just what they tell us. They could care less. They want to make sure we are controlled and don't take matters into our own hands and actually get justice. If people were allowed to do that, they'd go after much bigger corporate and government criminals.

Well, what horses you set us up with to take said reins, BPF53- we just have to clean up your racist, gap inducing muck. When's the last time you were in a classroom? No morals in the classroom? Sadly, it's one of the few places kids can find morals and discipline. From the looks of the result, I think it's safe to say the kids responsible for this had none of that AT HOME.

What a stupid and idiotic remark "Paul" you must be a real racist to get any where in my comment any racist undertones!!..Such remarks must come from your own limited ability to understand a basic comment! 'Well known facts" the American school system is failing our youth. Look at the increased teen pregnancy, increased violence, the increased drop out rates and dropping test scores. Sounds like you should go sit in some of the schools in this Nation and get an education yourself of the conditions most of the schools are in. So save the Left-wing racist defense remarks for your own bigoted and idiotic comments if you can't understand the facts then keep your pitiful opinions to yourself! The American school system are failing, anyone with half a brain should know that, race is not the problem a moral code for respect for others is sorely needed.

Actually, teen pregnancy is the lowest it's been in 20 years, and 2010 saw the fewest births of any year since 1946 - when the population of the US was half of what it is now: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db89.htm

Violent crimes are also down over the last 20 years, per the FBI's statistics. They peaked in 1992 at about 1.93 million and were down to about 1.25 million in 2010: http://www.ucrdatatool.gov/Search/Crime/State/StateCrime.cfm

Bryan..... Tell that to the kids, in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, etc...about living in a war zone!! As for the birth rate doing down yes that is true, but this isn't due to any change in the moral lives of the teens but due to increased use of birth control and sadly in some cases abortions... Guess a moral code of conduct, respect for others are qualities of a bygone era and not relative in this secular world we live in. And sorry to say as for the stats of murders, the difference from 1.93 Million to 1.25 Million isn't much of a success story to rave about don't you think!!

For reference, the 1.25 million is violent crimes, not murders. That many murders would be insane.

Given the teen birth numbers from the '40s, there may not have been that bygone moral era you speak of - similarly, the abortion rate is down over the last 30 years, from about 29.3 per 1,000 in 1981 to 19.6 per 1,000 in 2008: http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/fb_induced_abortion.html

I'm glad BPF53's religion has nary a hint of violence. Forced prayer and religion in schools should do the trick. Forced religion and vigilatism should keep this country above water and out of harm's way. I wasn't calling you racist BPF53, but the recent 50 years of this country's "reins" that have been handed over. It's not really worth continuing this- a little girl is dead at the hands of sociopaths brought up in an environment where life isn't worth much and far too many people are grieving; I just decided that a comment about perhaps ending the violence then and there as a way to try to come together using some sort of compassion and critical thinking- as opposed to others who want to reciprocate and continue the thread. Good luck with your utopian vision. Utopia is Greek for Nowhere btw.

Paul...sorry another idiotic comment... Did I bring up religion (again you show lack of understanding coming to that conclusion). A standard of living set on "Basic moral values and a code of conduct does not have to have religious foundations" (but they do help). It doesn't take a rocket scientists to see that the school systems are failing and the family home in this Nation is in turmoil. The only utopian vision I have is to people to have intelligent debates, without bringing in racism or religious intolerance as the only defense. A reality check this Nation is facing a major decaying and moral breakdown, brought on by a secular mindset pushed in the educational systems. Anyone with a small piece of ration mind left will concede that fact...good day.

Paul

Now I will remember to check the box that says send me email updates... When you overuse the word secular and capitalize the G in god, yes, you come off as someone who is of a religious mindset. I apologize for the generalizations (not the first generalization used in this forum mind you...you did call me left-wing and undereducated? hmmmm....)The racist remark came as a criticism of the recent history of our nation and the great "reins" you were handing off...blah blah blah, over your head, whatever. My only "intolerance" I've exhibited was from my first comment reacting to the anger and violence everyone felt that they had a right to partake in whether from a primary or secondary standpoint. You have repeatedly stated "facts" stemming from generalizations and limited and narrow viewpoints (moral breakdown, breakdown of the schools, no moral code)once again blah blah blah. <Hanging someone from the nearest tree is an upstanding moral code?> Despite your limited resources and lack of compelling logic, and lack of grammar, I've decided one last time to comment on this and send you this link from someone (Patch reporter Matt Skoufalos) who has eloquently stated, in a much better way, what I originally intended and hoped to say. I hope that it finds you well and helps you cope with the anger the tragedy has brought you. http://collingswood.patch.com/articles/r-i-p-autumn-pasquale-everyone-else-it-s-not-about-you

“G” in God should be capitalized, except for atheist or progressives. Secularism seems to be the mantra of the left-wing loons, if religion is a problem then too bad. Can one assume you are a progressive? You stated “undereducated” you meant uneducated? A "lack of understanding" doesn't equate to uneducated but not understanding the concepts debated. "Your intolerance" was due to the other comments interesting must be above the views of others of how one disregards life. Pity how one judges statements others felt over such a hideous and senseless act. Compelling logic, what is your compelling logic? Comments that do not fit into "your logic" is of no value? What a liberal mindset, interesting your comment if this happened to your family? A girl was murdered for a bike! You disagree with the outrage of others over this? Mr. Skoufalos read like someone indoctrinated by a ultra progressive educational system. No one stated hang these two from a tree, facts are known, what happened to this poor girl is known. This reporter makes a political rant about the ills of society is pitiful, condemn "Secular society" that produced such a pair. Respect for others, hard work, the responsibility for ones actions must be taught at home and school! Done wasting time. For the childish remark about grammar,I will get my Mommy or WORD to check it next time, wrote off the cuff if you understand the meaning...Good Day.
