Powerball $10,000 Prize-Winning Ticket Sold in Cherry Hill

The third-place ticket may not be the jackpot, but someone in the area is five figures richer.

There wasn’t a big winner in Saturday’s Powerball lottery drawing, but one ticket sold in Cherry Hill was good for a $10,000 third prize, New Jersey Lottery officials announced Monday.

The third-place ticket, one of four third-place tickets in the state, was sold at the Wegmans on Route 70.

Another third-place prize went to a winner in Gloucester County, where the winning ticket was sold at Yogi’s Quick Shop in Washington Township.

With no overall winner, the Powerball jackpot ratcheted up to a record-setting $425 million, breaking the previous record, which was set in 2006, by $60 million.
