Police: Armed Robber Hits Rite Aid
Police say the man was wearing a distinctive jacket when he hit a pharmacy Thursday night.
A man dressed in a white hooded sweatshirt under an unmistakable jacket walked into Rite Aid on Cooper Landing Road Thursday night, flashed a gun and stole cash from the register, Cherry Hill Police said.
The robbery occurred at about 8:42 p.m. and last only a few moments, police said—the alleged robber walked in, headed straight for the checkout counter, showed the gun tucked into his jeans and demanded the cashier open the register.
When she did, the alleged robber reached over the counter, grabbed an unspecified amount of cash from the drawer and left the drugstore as quickly as he'd entered, police said.
He took off on foot from there, police said, but it wasn't known what direction he went after leaving the store, which is just off the Church Road circle.
The alleged robber's jacket may give him away, police said. Surveillance photos showed the man in a black jacket with a skull and crossed guns on the back, along with blue lettering.
Anyone with information about the incident or the alleged robber is asked to call Cherry Hill Detective Paul Hafner 856-432-8824.
