Nursing Home Patient Found After Going Missing in Cherry Hill

Victor Godoy, 77, was found after a search late Saturday night.

An elderly nursing home patient who went missing Saturday evening was found less than seven hours later in Voorhees, Cherry Hill Police said.

Victor Godoy, 77, made it to a family member's home, police said, and was taken to Kennedy University Hospital for evaluation just after midnight.

Godoy, who has dementia, left Alaris Health at 1417 Brace Road around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police said, prompting a search of the area.

Godoy had been seen walking north on Brace Road toward the area of Kings Highway and Route 70, police said, and was later spotted at A & S Pizza, near the intersection of North Kings Highway and Ormand Avenue, around 8 p.m., police said.

A little more than an hour after police released information to news organizations, Godoy had been located.
